First-aid measures
Description of necessary first-aid measures & Most important symptoms/effects, acute and delayed:
General advice:
Product not completely tested. Take maximum precautions when handling. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.
Inhalation:
Move patient from contaminated area to fresh air. Oxygen or artificial respiration if needed. Keep under medical surveillance. In case of
problems : Hospitalise.
Skin contact:
Wash immediately, abundantly and thoroughly with soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists.
Eye contact:
Wash open eyes immediately, abundantly and thoroughly for at least 15 minutes. Consult an ophthalmologist immediately.
Ingestion:
In case of problems : Consult a doctor. Do NOT induce vomiting. Hospitalise.
Protection of first-aiders:
In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Protective suit
Fire-fighting measures
- Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, Foam, Dry powder, Carbon dioxide (CO2)
- Unsuitable extinguishing media: High volume water jet
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Thermal decomposition giving toxic products
Carbon oxides, Nitrogen oxides, Hydrogen fluoride
Advice for firefighters: Special protective actions for fire-fighters:
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Use personal protective equipment. Ensure adequate ventilation. Prohibit contact with skin and inhalation of dust. In the case of respirable
dust, use self-contained breathing apparatus.
Environmental precautions:Prevent product from entering drains. Do not release into the environment.
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up:
Recovery: Sweep up to prevent slipping hazard. No sparking tools should be used. Avoid dust formation. Recover the product and place in a dry labelled
container. Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.
Elimination: Dispose of in accordance with local regulations
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling:
Technical measures/Precautions:
Product not completely tested. Take maximum precautions when handling. Storage and handling precautions applicable to products: Solid.
Dust forming. Forming EXPLOSIVE mixtures with air (in the presence of an ignition source (Spark)). Toxic. Irritant even corrosive. Provide
showers, eye-baths. Provide water supplies near the point of use. Provide electrical earthing of equipment. Provide self-contained breathing
apparatus nearby. Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at machinery.
Safe handling advice:
Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in the application area. Avoid the formation and deposition of dust. Prohibit all sources of
sparks and ignition - Do not smoke. Avoid accumulation of static charges during transfers in metallic systems. Avoid charging as a dust
shower – risk of product flammability. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment Keep well away from naked
flames. Store away from heat. At all stages of the operation, do not exceed the temperature at which decomposition into toxic and corrosive
products will occur.
Hygiene measures:
When using do not eat or drink. Prohibit contact with skin and eyes and inhalation of dust (or vapours). Remove and wash contaminated
clothing before re-use.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Store away from moisture and heat to maintain the technical properties of the
product. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Do not smoke.
Do not store above: 50 °C
Incompatible products:
Strong oxidizing agents, Acids, Bases
Packaging material:
Recommended: Polyethylene
To be avoided: Metals
Wash hands after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas.
