Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Three short-term test results (LC50) from each of three trophic levels (fish, daphnia, algae) are available.

According to OECD guideline tests, no adverse effects have been observed in short term studies up to the solubility limit. This indicates that no hazard has been identified and a PNEC cannot be derived.

No hazard to air is identified:

  • no potential for global warming is expected according to the vapour pressure of < 0.0001 Pa and the molecular weight.
  • no potential for the depletion of the ozone layer, as the molecule doesn't contain halogens

Conclusion on classification

The acute toxicity values (L(E)C50) are > 100 mg/L, in the available tests no adverse effects were observed up to the limit concentrations. There are no long term data on ecotoxicology available. Following test results on biodegradation, no fast degradation was determined. No fast hydrolysis is expected. No classification is required according to CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and Directive 67/548/EEC.
