Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Symptomatic treatment.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash with plenty of water for at least fifteen minutes.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Give water and seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Use water spray, dry chemical or carbon dioxide as
extinguishing agents for fires.

Product arising from burning: Combustion products may contain carbon, nitrogen and sulfur
oxides and hydrogen chloride gas.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and protective
clothing.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Sweep up material and package for safe disposal by
incineration. Dispose of in an approved incinerator or
contract with licensed chemical waste-disposal agency.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery of the substance is not practical.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: The substance exhibits no hazardous effects and as a result
neutralisation is not considered necessary.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: A temperature of 1000 deg C is expected to be sufficient to
destroy the chemical. Hydrogen chloride gas and oxides of
nitrogen and sulphur may be formed and flue-gas purification
is recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance would not probably be destroyed by water
purification systems. There is no evidence of abiotic
degradation and the substance should not be released to
water purification systems.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
