First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures
General advice: Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately. Adhere to personal protective measures when giving first aid. If someone exposed to the product feels unwell, contact a doctor and show the safety data sheet.
In case of inhalation: in the event of symptoms bring the patient to fresh air.
In case of skin contact: Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/ shower.
In case of eye contact: Rinse out with plenty of water. Remove contact lenses.
In case of ingestion: make victim drink water (two glasses at most). Consult doctor if feeling unwell.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media: carbon dioxide (CO2), water, foam, dy powder
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Specific hazards during firefighting:
Development of hazardous combustion gases or vapours possible in the event of fire.
Fire may cause evolution of: Sulphur oxides, Nitrogen oxides (NOx))
Advice for firefighters
Stay in danger area only with self-contained breathing apparatus. Prevent skin contact by keeping a safe distance or by wearing suitable protective clothing.
Further information: Cool closed containers exposed to fire with water spray.
Suppress (knock down) gases/vapours/mists with a water spray jet.
Prevent fire extinguishing water from contaminating surface water or the ground water system.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions:
Advice for non-emergency personnel:
Avoid inhalation of dusts.
Avoid substance contact.
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Evacuate the danger area, observe emergency procedures, consult an expert.
Environmental precautions:
Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Methods for cleaning up:
Cover drains. Collect, bind, and pump off spills.
Observe possible material restrictions. Take up dry. Dispose of properly. Clean up affected area. Avoid generation of dusts.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Advice on safe handling: Observe label precautions.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Store in original container. Protect against light. Tightly closed. Separately or together with other organic peroxides only and away from sources of ignition and heat. Recommended storage temperature see product label.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Exposure Controls
Technical measures and appropriate working operations should be given priority over the use of personal protective equipment.
Personal protective equipment
Protective clothing needs to be selected specifically for the workplace, depending on concentrations and quantities of the hazardous substances handled and must meet the specifications of a standard EN/ISO/DIN. The chemical resistance of the protective equipment should be enquired at the respective supplier.
Respiratory protection: Required when dusts are generated. Recommended filter type: P1 filter.
Hand protection: Chemical resistant gloves according to category III of DIN EN 374
Remarks: With solid dry substances permeation is not to be expected, therefore the breakthrough-time for this protective glove has not been measured.
Eye protection: Safety glasses
Environmental exposure controls
General advice: Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity
No dangerous reaction known under conditions of normal use.
Chemical Stability
No decomposition if stored and applied as directed.
Possibility of hazardous reactions
hazardous reactions: Reactions with alkalies. Reactions with oxidizing agents. Exothermic reaction.
Conditions to avoid: No data available.
Incompatible materials
Materials to avoid: no data available.
Hazardous decomposition products: No decomposition if stored and applied as directed.
Disposal considerations
Waste treatment methods
Product: Dispose of contents/containers to an approved waste disposal plant.
Contaminated packaging: Dispose of as unused product.
