Administrative data
First-aid measures
Eye Contact: Flush with copious quantities of water or saline, including under eyelids for at least 15 minutes
Skin Contact: Wash affected area with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing. Seek medical attention if reaction occurs/persists.
Inhalation: Remove promptly to fresh air. If not breathing, administer artificial respiration. Administer oxygen if breathing is difficult.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical advice if adverse reaction occurs and persists.

Accidental release measures
Personal Protection in case of large spill: A self contained breathing apparatus should be used to avoid inhalation of the product. Suitable protective clothing and chemical resistant gloves required.
Environmental precautions: Avoid contamination of surface waters. Cover drains.
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up: Vacuum or sweep up material and place into suitable dedicated UN approved drum. Use non sparking tools.
Handling and storage
Handling: Use process enclosure (e.g. glove-box units), local exhaust ventilation or other suitable engineering controls to control airborne levels. Charge slowly into vessels to minimize dust clouds. Use slow controlled movements for scooping from one container to another where applicable. Sweep up/ wet down material and place into suitable UN approved disposal container.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid inhaling dusts. Ensure emergency eyewash equipment is close by.
General Occupational Hygiene: Do not to eat, drink and smoke in work areas;
Wash hands after use; and remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering
eating areas.
Storage: Material should be stored in static dissipative bags in well ventilated areas at about 25oC in closed containers
Specific use(s): Ensure adequate earthing of equipment. Avoid ignition sources including static. Ensure adequate earthing of personnel including footwear and gloves and work on a static dissipative floor.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Exposure limit values
Internal Occupational Exposure limit set at 0.1 mg/m3 for inhalation exposure. No national occupational exposure limits available.
Sampling will be conducted based on the MDHS 14/4 sampling and analysis method. Samples will be collected onto 25mm filters contained in IOM heads. The filters will be desorbed and analysed using in-house methods for this material developed by IOM Consulting Ltd in Edinburgh.
Exposure controls
Appropriate engineering controls
Dusts of this product should not be breathed in. Engineering methods to prevent or control exposure below the permissible exposure limits should be used. Use process enclosure (e.g. glove-box units), local exhaust ventilation or other suitable engineering controls to control airborne levels.
Personal protective equipment
Respiratory protection: Wear a suitable respirator designed for achieving a high level of filtration to dust such as powered respirators or full face masks with a P3 filter (EN 14387/ EN143)
Hand protection: Impermeable static dissipative gloves (e.g. nitrile gloves to EN 374-2) with an extended cuff covering part of the forearm) are required as well as donning/doffing training and specific activity training... A degradation tests against this chemical was not run. However since its breakthrough time is expected to be greater than 480minutes (analogy with corrosive 50% caustic, the degradation rating is expected to be good to excellent.
Eye protection: If respirator does not already provide eye protection, wear goggles conforming to EN-166.
Skin protection: Wear Tyvek or similar static dissipative overalls (e.g. to EN13982, EN13034). If contaminated, must be removed whilst wearing a respirator and disposed off in an appropriate manner. Wear static dissipative footwear and work on a static dissipative floor.
Hygiene Measures
Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Keep away from food and drink. Wash hands (and face where exposed to product) before breaks and immediately if exposure occurs anywhere else on the body.
Environmental exposure controls
Follow onsite trained procedural controls to minimize advertent exposures.
Do not allow material to contaminate the ground water system.
Any unused material/ spilt material to be disposed in UN approved drums.

Conditions to avoid: Generation of dust clouds. Conditions such as static discharge or other physical stresses that might result in a hazardous situation. Careful charging of this material combined with earthing of vessels, tools, floors and workers are essential to avoid such conditions. Avoid sparking tools.
