GLP compliance:
yes
Type of method:
flask method
Remarks:
slow-stirring
Key result
Water solubility:
0 g/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Incubation duration:
>= 24 - <= 96 h
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
>= 6.1 - <= 6.2
Remarks on result:
other: The maximum difference between concentrations at 24, 48, 72 and 96 h was >15%. Measured concentrations did not show any trend. Water solubility is therefore determined as the mean value of the analysed concentrations.

Conclusions:
The water solubility of the test item is 3.28 E-05 g/L at 20⁰C.
Executive summary:

Volic (2018) is a GLP-compliant study following OECD guideline 105, slow-stirring method. A preliminary study was conducted initially to determine which method to use for the main study and therefore the slow-stirring method is considered to be suitable for the test item. The analytical method was validated for the test item in water before the study. The study is considered to be reliable without restrictions (Klimisch 1). Samples were taken at 24, 48 and 72 h. As the maximum difference between concentrations determined at the time points was >15%, samples were also taken at 96 h. The difference between concentrations was >15% therefore water solubility was determined as the mean of the measured concentrations at all time points. The water solubility of the test item is 3.28 E-05 g/L at 20⁰C.

Description of key information

The water solubility of the test item is 3.28 E-05 g/L at 20⁰C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
0.033 mg/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C
