Reference
Endpoint:
boiling point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.2 (Boiling Temperature)
Version / remarks:
(EU) No 440/2008 A.2
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
differential scanning calorimetry
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
ca. 260 °C
Remarks on result:
other: No boiling temperature could be determined until the beginning of decomposition at about 260°C.

The melting point of Macrolex Fluoreszenzrot G is 256 °C. In the overview diagram of the melting point determination the endothermic melting-peak is followed by an exothermic effect at about 260 °C. So it can be concluded, that there is nor boiling up to the beginning of the decomposition.

Conclusions:
Macrolex Fluoreszenzrot G decomposes before boiling.
Executive summary:

The boiling point of Macrolex Fluoreszenzrot G was examinated by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) according to (EC) No 440/2008 A.2.

As tzhe melting point of Macrolex Fluoreszenzrot G is 256 °C. In the overview diagram of the melting point determination the endothemric melting-peak is followed by an exothermic effect at about 260 °C. So it can be concluded, that there is no boiling up to the beginning of the decomposition (BTS 2017).
