Classification, Labeling, and Packaging Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008

The available experimental test data of the substance are reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008. The test item was determined be not readily biodegradable based on read-across. In the aquatic tests conducted, the test substance showed toxic effects on the tested species. The determined EC50 for Daphnia magna was 3.42 mg/L and for Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was 0.045 mg/L (growth rate), while the LC50 in Danio rerio was 14.8 mg/L. The EC10 (growth rate) for Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was determined to be 0.029 mg/L. Based on these results, the substance is considered as classified for short-term (acute) aquatic toxicity Category Acute 1 (H400: Very toxic to aquatic life, M factor = 10) and classified for long-term (chronic) aquatic toxicity Category Chronic 1 (H410: Very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects, M factor = 1) according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP).
