Additional information

Allyl alcohol was added to sandy loam soil containing the plant pathogen Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and observed for inhibition of carpogenic germination inhibition at nominal concentrations of 50, 100, 150, 200, 300 and 400 ppm for a period of 3 weeks. At 50 ppm 100% germination was observed and at 100 ppm 13% germination was observed. The EC50 (for inhibition of carpogenic germination) was determined to be between 50 -100 ppm. The lower value of the range was used as the key value in the CSA (50 ppm).
