Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

This endpoint is not a mandatory data requirement according to Annexes VII and VIII of the REACH regulation 1907/2006/EC.

According to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex IX, Column 2, 9.1.6, long-term toxicity testing shall be proposed by the registrant if the chemical safety assessment according to Annex I indicate the need to investigate further effects on aquatic organisms. As the test substance is highly insoluble in water (< 0.05 mg/L) and exhibits a log Koc > 5, if at all, only very small amounts of the test substance are expected to be released from STP facilities in water (adsorption to sewage sludge is expected). If released into the environment, the main target compartments of environmental distribution will be sediment and soil. Therefore, the fraction available to fish species via water is expected to be low. Furthermore, no effects were observed to daphnia in the range of water solubility (< 0.05 mg/L). Since only low amounts of the test substance can be expected in the aquatic environment, and considering animal welfare, no long-term tests on fish should be performed.
