Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
In case of skin contact, flush with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical aid immediately.
Inhalation:
If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Call a physician.
Eyes:
Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eye lids. Get medical aid immediately.
Ingestion:
If swallowed, wash out mouth with water provided person is conscious. Call a physician immediately.
Notes to physician:
Treat symptomatically and supportively.
Fire-fighting measures
Protective equipment: wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes. Use MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent) apparatus.
During a fire, toxic fumes may be generated.
Extinguishing media:
Suitable: water spray, Carbon Dioxide, dry chemical powder or appropriate foam.
Accidental release measures
Exercise appropriate precautions to minimize direct contact with skin or eyes and prevent inhalation of dust.
Environmental Precaution:
Avoid generating dusty conditions. Provide ventilation.
Spills/Leaks:
Sweep up, place in a bag and hold for waste disposal. Avoid raising dust. Ventilate area and wash spill site after material pick-up is complete.
Handling and storage
Avoid inhalation. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Avoid prolonged or repeated exposure.
Storage:
Store in airtight container at cool and dry place.
For further information on handling and storage refer to the section manufacture, use and exposures (section 3.1, 3.5, 3.7 and 3.8).

Exposure controls / personal protection
Use adequate general and local exhaust ventilation to keep airborne concentrations as low as possible. Use process enclosure, local exhaust ventilation, or other engineering controls to control airborne levels.
Exposure limit: not listed.
Personal protection:
Eyes: Wear chemical safety goggles.
Skin:
Wear appropriate protective clothing to prevent skin exposure. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before re-use. Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing. Discard contaminated shoes. Wash hands and eyes thoroughly after handling of material. Keep container tightly closed.
Hands: Wear protective gloves.
Respiratory system:
Respiratory protection is not required. If needed, use respirators tested and approved under appropriate government standards, e.g. NIOSH or CEN (European Standard EN 149). Where protection from nuisance levels of dust are desired, use type N95 (USA) or type P1 (EN 143) dust masks.
Stability and reactivity
Conditions to avoid: Moisture.
Conditions of Instability: May discolor on exposure to light.
Materials to avoid: strong oxidizing agents, strong acids.
Hazardous decomposition products: Carbon monoxide, Carbon dioxide, Nitrogen oxide.
Hazardous polymerization: will not occur.
Disposal considerations
Dispose in a manner consistent with federal, state and local regulations.
