- Conclusions:
- The influence of Triethyleneglycol dimethacrylate on the growth of the freshwater green algae Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was assessed in a static dose-response test. The 72-hour ErC50 value was calculated to be > 100 mg/L and the 72-hour EyC50 was calculated to be 72.8 mg/L. The 72 h ECr10 was 61.0 mg/l, the 72 h Ey10 was 22 mg/L.
- Executive summary:
In a 72 hour acute toxicity study, the cultures of Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata strain 61.81 SAG were exposed to Triethyleneglycol dimethacrylate at nominal concentrations of 0 (control), 6.25, 12.5, 25, 50 and 100 mg/L under static conditions in accordance with the OECD guideline 201, adopted March 23, 2006, corrected July 28, 2011.
At 100 mg/L the cells were deformed after 72h test duration. At 50 mg/L no difference to the control was observed.
The NOEC, EC10 and EC50 values based on growth rate were 18.6, 61.0 mg/L (95% CL: 53.4 - 67.1 mg/L) and > 100 mg/L, respectively.
