Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General advice : Immediately take off contaminated clothing and rinse body with plenty of water. First aider needs to protect himself.
Inhalation : Move to fresh air in case of accidental inhalation of dust or fumes from overheating or combustion. Call a physician immediately.
Skin contact : After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water.
Eye contact : In the case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
Ingestion : When swallowed, allow water to be drunk. Do NOT induce vomiting. Call a physician immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, Foam, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Dry powder
Specific hazards during firefighting: nitrogen oxides (NOx). Exposure to decomposition products may be a hazard to health.
Special protective equipment for firefighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit. No unprotected exposed skin areas.
Further information : Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment. The product itself does not burn. Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions : Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak. Use personal protective equipment.
Environmental precautions : Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so.
Methods for cleaning up : Use mechanical handling equipment. Pick for disposal in tightly closed containers Do not pick up with the help of saw-dust or other combustible substances.
Handling and storage
Handling
Advice on safe handling : Exhaust ventilation at the object is necessary. Protect from moisture.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Drying of this product on clothing or combustible materials may cause fire.
Hygiene measures : Wash hands before breaks and immediately after handling the product. Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace. Keep working clothes separately. Separate rooms are required for washing, showering and changing clothes.
Storage
Further information on storage conditions: Product is hygroscopic. Do not leave vessels/containers open. Containers should be protected against falling down.
Advice on common storage : Keep away from reducing agents.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Occupational exposure controls
The Personal Protective Equipment must be in accordance with EN standards:respirator EN 136, 140, 149; safety glasses EN 166; protective suit: EN 340, 463, 468, 943-1, 943-2; gloves EN 374, safety shoes EN-ISO 20345. Do not breathe dust. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday. Take off all contaminated clothing immediately.
Environmental exposure controls: Handle in accordance with local environmental regulations and good industrial practices.
Engineering measures: Use with local exhaust ventilation.
Personal protective equipment
Respiratory protection : In the case of dust or aerosol formation use respirator with an approved filter.
Hand protection : Glove material: Natural Latex. Break through time: > 480 min. Glove thickness: 0,6 mm. Lapren®706
Eye protection : Goggles
Skin and body protection : Wear suitable protective equipment. Complete suit protecting against chemicals
Stability and reactivity
Conditions to avoid : Keep away from reducing agents. Avoid contact with combustible material (paper, wool, oil). Avoid dust formation. Keep away from heat.
Materials to avoid : Reactions with combustible substances. Reactions with metals in powder form.
Hazardous decomposition products : Nitrous gases
Stability and reactivity : 135 °C. No decomposition if used as directed., Fire or intense heat may
cause violent rupture of packages.
Hazardous reactions : Heating can release hazardous gases.
Disposal considerations
Product : Dispose according to legal requirements.
Packaging : Legal requirements are to be considered in regard of reuse or disposal of used packaging materials
Further information : Provisions relating to waste: EC Directive 2006/12/EC; 91/689/EEC Regulation No. 1013/2006
