Description of key information
Toxic effects have been observed in a study with terrestrial plants. The test substance causes adverse effects to tomato, cucumber, oat and rape.

The toxicity to terrestrial plants was determined in a study according to OECD guideline No 208 and in compliance with GLP criteria (2017). In this study, 6 plant species were examined for visual phytotoxic effects and mortality. Oats, onions, rape, cucumber, tomato, and pea were exposed to test substance concentrations of 0 (control), 10, 31.6, 100, 316 and 1000 mg/kg dw.
No significant test item related phytotoxic effects and mortality occurred during the test period for pea and onion. The NOEC was determined at ≥1000 mg/kg d.w. for growth, emergence rate and survival.
The NOEC was determined at ≥1000 mg/kg d.w. for emergence rate and survival in all 6 plant species tested.
For tomato, cucumber and oat, the NOEC (growth) was 316mg/kg dw for growth and for rape 100 mg/kg dw.
Although the test does not cover chronic effects or effects on reproduction, it covers a sensitive stage in the life-cycle of a plant and data obtained from this study are generally used as estimate of chronic toxicity. Therefore, a NOEC of 100 mg/kg dw. with rape is used for assessment.
