Description of key information
Readily biodegradable (according to OECD criteria): 82% in 28 days, 68% within the 10-day window (OECD 301B)
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- Biodegradation in water:
- readily biodegradable
- Type of water:
- freshwater
Additional information
In a CO2-Evolution test the biodegradation of the test item was investigated according to OECD guideline 301B (BASF 2019). After 28 days a biodegradation of 82% was observed. At the end of the ten day window the degree of biodegradation was ca. 68%. Therefore, the required pass level for ready biodegradability i.e., at least 60% of the theoretical CO2 production in a 10-day window exceeding 10% degradation within the 28-day period of the test was reached.
