Description of key information

The ability of the structurally related UVCB EDDHMA-Fe to generate acute toxic effects in Eisenia foetida foetida was investigated during an exposure period of 14 days according to the OECD Guideline 207. EDDHMA-Fe did not induce significant acute mortality of Eisenia foetida foetida at levels >=  1600 mg/kg dry soil after 14 days of exposure.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The ability of EDDHMA-Fe to generate acute toxic effects in Eisenia foetida foetida was investigated during an exposure period of 14 days and, if possible, to determine the LC50 and the NOEC at the observation times. The procedures used were according to the OECD Guideline 207 on Earthworm Acute Toxicity Test. EDDHMA-Fe did not induce significant acute mortality of Eisenia foetida foetida at >= 1600 mg/kg dry soil after 14 days of exposure (NOEC).
