Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
1-14 July 2016
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.6 (Water Solubility)
Deviations:
no
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Deviations:
no
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Only the preliminary test was carriedout, because the expected water solubility was below the detection limit of the method.
GLP compliance:
yes
Type of method:
column elution method
Key result
Water solubility:
< 0.3 mg/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
7.16
Details on results:
During the preliminary estimation the water solubility of the material was found to be less than 0.3 mg/L. As part of method development a calibration graph was compiled using Acetonitrile as the sample solvent. Solutions of concentration 0 to 0.02168 g/L were prepared for the calibration. The linear range of the calibration was observed to be 0.00108 g/L to 0.02168 g/L. The aqueous solubility of less than 0.3 mg/L is therefore below the detection limit of the analytical method. The water solubility has therefore been reported as < 0.3 mg/L.
Conclusions:
Water solubility of the substance is expected to be below 0.3 mg/l.
Executive summary:

A preliminary water solubility test was carried out on the substance, according to EU Method A.6 and OECD Test Guideline 105.The results found that the water solubility would be below the detection limit of the shake flask method, so it was not possible to carry out the definitive (main) test. The water solubility of the substance at 20C is determined to be < 0.3 mg/l.

Description of key information
