First-aid measures

Description of First aid measures-

Ingestion                   Rinse mouth with water. Obtain medical assistance immediately. Do not induce vomiting.  

                                     

Eye contact               Immediately rinse eyes with water. If any sign of tissue damage or persistent irritation is apparent, obtain medical assistance

                                 immediately.                                            

Skin contact              Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin immediately with water and soap. If any sign of tissue damage or persistent irritation is

                                 apparent, obtain medical assistance immediately.                                        

Inhalation                   In case of excessive inhalation, expose the person to fresh air and if necessary, obtain medical assistance.

                                             

Fire-fighting measures

 Suitable Extinguishing media -

     Dry chemical, alcohol-resistant foam and carbon dioxide.

     For safety reasons, do not use full water spray.

Special protective equipment for fire-fighters -

     Wear self-contained breathing apparatus for fire fighting if necessary.

     Prevent run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses.

Accidental release measures

 Personal Precautions-

      Wear respirator, chemical safety goggles, rubber boots and heavy rubber gloves.

      Avoid contact with skin and inhalation of its vapors or smoke.

      Maintain adequate ventilation in the working area after spilling.

 Methods and material for containment and cleaning up-

      Cover with an inert, inorganic, non-combustible absorbent material (e.g. dry-lime, sand, soda ash).

      Ventilate area and wash spill site after material pickup is complete.

      Dispose off in accordance with current laws and regulations.

Handling and storage

 Safe handling-

      Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

      Avoid inhalation of vapor or mist.

      Keep away from fire and open flames.

      Do not overheat.

      Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs.

 Conditions for storage-

      Keep the product in its original container well sealed, in a dry and ventilated area, away from potential sources of ignition and protected from light.             Store in accordance with local / national regulations and follow the warnings on the label.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Exposure controls-

Personal protection equipment        Use personal protection equipment according to Directive 89/686/EEC.

Engineering Controls-Ventilation      The areas where the product is handled and stored should be adequately ventilated.

Respiratory Protection                      Use personal breathing apparatus whenever deemed necessary.

Skin Protection                                  Avoid contact with skin. Compatible chemical-resistant gloves are recommended. Wash contaminated gloves before

Stability and reactivity

Storage Stability                                      Stable under recommended storage conditions.

Incompatible materials                             Oxidizing mineral acids, strong reducing agents, strong oxidizing agents.

Conditions to avoid                                  Heat, flames and other sources of ignition.

Hazardous Decomposition products       Carbon monoxide and other unidentified organic compounds may be formed upon combustion.

Hazardous Polymerization                       It does not undergo any dangerous reactions under normal Conditions.

Disposal considerations

Waste Disposable method                   Combustible material may be burned in a chemical incinerator equipped with an afterburner and scrubber.

                                                            Observe all federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

                                                            Contact a licensed professional waste disposal service to dispose of this material.

Contaminated packaging                      Do not reuse used empty containers.

                                                            Dispose of as unused product.
