A measurement using an oscillating densitimeter was conducted according to OECD 109 and EU A.3 to establish the density of the test substance. The substance was drawn into the measuring cell by an automatic system. No air bubbles were allowed in the cell. After the measuring value was stable, it was recorded. Following parameters applied to the measurement: Range: 0 to 3 g/cm3; Uncertainty of measurement: ± 0.0001 g/cm3; Uncertainty of temperature: ±0.1 °C; Repeatability: ± 0.00003 g/cm3. The relative density was the ratio of the mass of a given volume of the sample at 20 °C to the mass of an equal volume of distilled water at 4 °C. The relative density of the test substance was determined to be 0.9025 at 20 °C with respect to water at 4 °C.
