First-aid measures
General advice: Avoid direct contact with the substance.
Self-protection of the first aider: Ensure suitable personal protective equipment is worn.
IF INHALED: Keep patient calm, remove to fresh air, seek medical attention.
IF ON SKIN: If irritation (redness, rash, blistering) develops, get medical attention.
IF IN EYES: Immediately wash affected eyes for at least 15 minutes under running water with eyelids held open, consult an eye specialist.
IF SWALLOWED: Immediately rinse mouth and then drink 200-300 ml of water, seek medical attention.
Symptoms: Causes serious eye irritation.
Medical treatment: Treat symptomatically. No known specific antidote.
Note to physician: IF IN EYES: Consultation from an ophthalmologist may be applicable.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, dry powder, foam, carbon dioxide
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Do not use water jet. Direct water jet may spread the fire.
Special hazards arising from the substance: Combustion may result in the release of Sulphur Dioxide.
Advice for fire-fighters: Fight fire from maximum distance or use unmanned hose holders or monitor nozzles. Do not get water inside containers. Cool containers with flooding quantities of water until well after fire is out. Withdraw immediately in case of rising sound from venting safety devices or discoloration of tank. ALWAYS stay away from tanks engulfed in fire. Ensure that the equipment is adequately grounded.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Ensure adequate ventilation. Ensure suitable personal protection during removal of spillages. Eliminate all ignition sources if safe to do so. Contaminated clothing should be discarded. Avoid all contact with substance. Do not breathe vapour/mist/spray. Avoid allowing water runoff to contact spilled material. Prevent entry into waterways, sewers, basements or confined areas. Use clean, non‐sparking tools to collect material and place it in suitable containers for later disposal.
Environmental precautions: Avoid release to the environment. Do not allow into any sewer on the ground, or into any body of water. Any large spillage into watercourses must be alerted to the regulatory authority responsible for environmental protection or other regulatory body. Bund storage facilities to prevent soil and water pollution in the event of spillage.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Only trained and properly protected personnel must be involved in clean-up operations. In the case of a spill or leak, earth, sand, or some other non-combustible absorbent material can be used to absorb the chemical. This material is then placed in a clean, dry, covered container for later disposal. For large spills, the liquid should be contained, or diked, at a distance from the spill for later disposal. Transfer to a lidded container for disposal or recovery. Ventilate the area and wash spill site after material pick-up is complete. Do not re-enter the contaminated area until the Safety Officer (or other responsible person) has verified that the area has been properly cleaned.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling: Ensure adequate ventilation. In case of inadequate ventilation wear respiratory protection. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. Contaminated clothing should be discarded. Keep good industrial hygiene. Wash hands before breaks and after work. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not breathe vapour/mist/spray. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking.
Conditions for safe storage: Store in correctly labelled containers. Opened containers should be carefully resealed and stored in an upright position. Substance should be stored in tightly closed containers, and stored in a cool, dry place, away from moisture, heat, and strong oxidizing agents.
Incompatible materials: Hydrochloric acid, Moisture, Acids, Strong oxidizing agents, Acid chlorides, Peroxides.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Hygiene measures: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Guarantee that the eye flushing systems and safety showers are closely located to the working place. Do not inhale gases/vapours/aerosols. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.

Respiratory protection: Wear respiratory protection in case of vapour/aerosol release. Recommended: Gas filter for gases/vapours of organic compounds (boiling point >65 °C, e. g. EN 14387 Type A)
Hand protection: Suitable materials also with prolonged, direct contact (Recommended: Protective index 6, corresponding > 480 minutes of permeation time according to EN 374):
fluoroelastomer (FKM) - 0.7 mm coating thickness
butyl rubber (butyl) - 0.7 mm coating thickness
Suitable materials short-term contact and/or splashes (recommended: At least protective index 2, corresponding > 30 minutes of permeation time according to EN 374)
nitrile rubber (NBR) - 0.4 mm coating thickness
chloroprene rubber (CR) - 0.5 mm coating thickness
Supplementary note: The specifications are based on tests, literature data and information of glove manufacturers or are derived from similar substances by analogy. Due to many conditions (e.g. temperature) it must be considered, that the practical usage of a chemical-protective glove in practice may be much shorter than the permeation time determined through testing.
Manufacturer's directions for use should be observed because of great diversity of types.
Eye protection: Safety glasses with side-shields (frame goggles) (f.e. EN 166) and face shield, if applicable to working conditions.
Skin and body protection: Body protection must be chosen depending on activity and possible exposure, e.g. apron, protecting boots, chemical-protection suit (according to EN 14605 in case of splashes).

Stability and reactivity
Chemical stability: The product is stable if stored and handled as indicated.
Possibility of hazardous reactions: The product may react with; acids, strong oxidizing agents, acid chlorides, peroxides.

Hazardous decomposition products: The following decomposition products may be released; hydrogen sulphide, Epithioethane sulfides, sulfur oxides, sulphur compounds
Disposal considerations
Product disposal methods: Dispose of this material and its container as hazardous waste. Disposal should be in accordance with local, state or national legislation. Consult your local or regional authorities for disposal options.
Additional Information
: Ensure that all packaging is disposed of safely. Containers of this material may be hazardous when empty since they retain product residue. Make sure that packaging is completely empty before recycling. Dispose of uncured residues in the same way as the product itself.
