Description of key information

Piperazine, compound with phosphoric acid was found to be weakly oxidising since 94.90 ml of KMnO4 was required for getting the end point of the redox titration for 100 g of piperazine, compound with phosphoric acid. Thus, the chemical was considered as not oxidising.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

Piperazine, compound with phosphoric acid was found to be weakly oxidising since 94.90 ml of KMnO4 was required for getting the end point of the redox titration for 100 g of piperazine, compound with phosphoric acid. The oxidation potential was not strong enough to classify the chemical as a oxidising chemical

Justification for classification or non-classification

Piperazine, compound with phosphoric acid was found to be weakly oxidising since 94.90 ml of KMnO4 was required for getting the end point of the redox titration for 100 g of piperazine, compound with phosphoric acid. The oxidation potential was not strong enough to classify the chemical as a oxidising chemical. Thus, the chemical was not considered "oxidising " for the classification purposes.
