Description of key information

In a hydrolysis study performed according to EU method C.7 and in compliance with GLP Reactive Navy FC63805 showed variable hydrolytical stability with varying pH: At pH 7 the half-life period was determined to be 2.46 days by extrapolating the results of the experiments at 25, 50, 55 and 65°C. At pH 4 the substance is considered to be hydrolytically stable (half-life > 1 year). At pH 9 the decomposition was higher than 50 % after 2.4 hours at 50°C. The test substance can be considered as hydrolytically unstable at pH 9.

Reactive Navy FC63805 is not identified as readily biodegradable based on two screening test results (OECD 301).

Based on the low partition coefficient (log Pow = –6.6) it is concluded that the substance will not significantly adsorb to soil, sediment or sewage sludge hence the adsorption coefficient to organic carbon (Koc) need not be determined.
