Description of key information

The substance is considered not to have oxidising properties, based on its molecular structure.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

In a GLP study (SEPC, 1993) conducted according to the EEC 84/449 Annex V A17 test guideline, the substance recorded a burning rate of 2.4 mm/s compared with a rate of 2.2 mm/2 for the reference substance. However, considering the molecular structure of the substance and results obtained with similar products (Millard 3905 and 3940), this should be considered as a false positive result.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Considering the molecular structure of the substance, it is considered that it should not be classified as oxidising under the EU CLP regulation
