- Principles of method if other than guideline:
- The standard methodology was not applicable to this test item due to the production of high saturation levels. For visual assessment, samples were required where saturation was not achieved in order to determine the point where saturation was achieved. Therefore, it was impractical to prepare samples at five times the saturation level as recommended in the guidelines.

- PRELIMINARY TEST
The sample concentrations, observations and pH values of the solutions are shown in Table 3.
The preliminary water solubility was determined to be in the range 1.1 to 4.8 % w/w.
As this value was above 10^-2 g/L, the flask method was performed for the definitive test.
The somewhat low preliminary results were most likely due to these samples having not attained saturation.
DEFINITIVE TEST
The sample concentrations, observations and pH values of the solutions are shown in Table 4.
Overall, the water solubility was determined to be in the range 8.0 to 9.3 % w/w. - Conclusions:
- Interpretation of results: very soluble (> 10 000 mg/L)
The water solubility of the test item has been determined to be in the range 8.0 to 9.3 % w/w of solution at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C. - Executive summary:
The evaluation of the water solubility of the test material was carried out using visual appraisal, based on the flask method, designed to be compatible with OECD Guideline 105 and EU Method A.6 under GLP conditions.
The water solubility of the test item has been determined to be in the range 8.0 to 9.3 % w/w of solution at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C.

Description of key information
The water solubility of the test material has been determined to be in the range 8.0 to 9.3 % w/w (equivalent to 80 to 93 g/L) of solution at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- Water solubility:
- 80 g/L
- at the temperature of:
- 20 °C
Additional information
The evaluation of the water solubility of the test material was carried out using visual appraisal, based on the flask method, designed to be compatible with OECD Guideline 105 and EU Method A.6 under GLP conditions. It was assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the principles for assessing data quality as outlined in Klimisch et al (1997).
The water solubility of the test material has been determined to be in the range 8.0 to 9.3 % w/w (equivalent to 80 to 93 g/L) of solution at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C.
