- Remarks on result:
- other: Surface tension at saturated concentration. The saturated solution was prepared by stirring 103.1 mg of the substance with 100 ml of distilled water.
- Surface tension:
- 51.2 mN/m
- Temp.:
- 20 °C
- Conc.:
- 0.927 g/L
- Remarks on result:
- other: Surface tension at 90% saturated concentration. The 90% saturated solution was prepared by stirring 2.02 g of the substance with 100 ml of distilled water and by diluting 45 ml of the resulting supernatant with 5 ml of distilled water.

Determination of the calibration factor φb (test 1):
σ0 = 72.5 mN/m (Krüss Gmbh, at 20.2 °C)
σg = 72.2 mN/m (mean surface tension of double distilled water at 20.0°C)
φb = σ0/ σg = 72.5/72.2 = 1.004

To verify the above result, a 90% saturated solution was tested (test 2)
Determination of the calibration factor φb (test 2):
σ0 = 72.7 mN/m (Krüss Gmbh, at 20.2 °C)
σg = 70.4 mN/m (mean surface tension of double distilled water at 20.0°C)
φb = σ0/ σg = 72.7/70.4 = 1.033
