Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

2 tests were conducted during the main study

Test 1: the test substance became cloudy at a temperature of about 25°C (248K). at a temperature of -32°C (241K) the test substance became solid and the temperature increased to about -14°C

Test 2: the test substance became cloudy at a temperature of about -25°C (248K). at a temperature of -34°C (239K) the test substance became solid and the temperature increased to about -10°C (263K). The temperature rise was believed to cause by the exothermic effect of the solidification. The temperature fall was <5K/min

In conclusion, the freezing temperature of SANTICIZER 2148 Plasticizer was determined to be -33°C.

Conclusions:
The freezing temperature of SANTICIZER 2148 Plasticizer was determined to be -33°C.
Executive summary:

The determination of the freezing temperature of SANTICIZER 2148 Plasticizer was based on EEC-Directive 92/69 EEC, A.1 ‘Melting/Freezing temperature (1992) and on OECD Guideline no. 102 ‘Melting Point/Melting Range’ (1981).

In a duplicate experiment, the freezing temperature of SANTICIZER 2148 Plasticizer was determined to be -33°C.

Description of key information

The freezing temperature of SANTICIZER 2148 Plasticizer was determined to be -33°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
-33 °C

Additional information

A key OECD Guideline 102 study was conducted to determine the freezing temperature of SANTICIZER 2148 Plasticizer (NOTOX B.V., 1999a)

In a duplicate experiment, the freezing temperature of SANTICIZER 2148 Plasticizer was determined to be -33°C.
