Any other information on results incl. tables

Preliminary test

The estimated flash-point of the test item was 26°C.

Main test

The results of the main study are shown below. The difference between the results obtained with the 2 tests was =<2°C. From this it was concuded that the flash-point of the test item is the lowest flash-point obtained.

 Test  Flash-point (°C)  Lowest flash-point (°C)
 1  25  23
 2  23

Equilibrium method

The results of the equilibrium method (tests with 5°C and tests with 1°C interval) are shown below

 Test  Expected flash-point (°C)  Result
 1  23  Flash
 2  18  No flash

Test  Expected flash-point (°C)  Result
 1  19  No flash
 2  18 Flash

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
Category 2 (highly flammable liquids) based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The closed cup method was applied for the determination of the flash-point of JNJ-17337073-AAA (T001598).

The flash-point of the test item was 23°C based on the Pensky-Martens closed cup method.

Since the flash-point of the test item was in the range 23°C ± 2°C the equilibrium method was used. The flash-point of the test item obtained with the equilibrium method was 20°C.
