First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures:
General advice: In case of accident or unwellness, seek medical advice immediately (show directions for use or safety data sheet if possible).
If inhaled: No special measures are necessary.
In case of skin contact: In case of skin reactions, consult a physician.
In case of eye contact: In case of eye irritation consult an ophthalmologist.
If swallowed: In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical advice.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Symptoms: No known symptoms to date.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Immediate medical attention: Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media:
Suitable extinguishing media: Dry extinguishing powder, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Sand
Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reason: Water Water can be used to cool containers filled with the product. Avoid contact with the caustic surface. A sprinkler system should only be used for cooling closed containers filled with the product.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
Special exposure hazards arising from the substance or preparation itself, its combustion products, or released gases: In case of fire may be liberated: Acrolein, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide.
Advice for firefighters:
Special protective equipment for firefighting: In case of fire: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Special danger of slipping by leaking/spilling product.
Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter into surface water or drains. Do not allow to enter into soil/subsoil. Stop and contain spill/release if it can be done safely.
Methods for cleaning up: Absorb with liquid-binding material (e.g. sand, diatomaceous earth, acid- or universal binding agents). To avoid the risks of fires, all contaminated materials should be placed in a closed metal container soaked with water. Treat the recovered material as prescribed in the section on waste disposal.
Reference to other sections: Safe handling: see section 7, Personal protection equipment: see section 8, Disposal: see section 13
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling:
Advice on safe handling: Do not bring in contact with strong oxidizing agents.
Precautions: In very fine dispersion in contact with air possible danger of self ignition. Materials soiled with product such as cleaning rags, tissues and protective clothing, may ignite spontaneously a few hours later. To avoid the risks of fires, all contaminated materials should be placed in a closed metal container soaked with water.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Keep away from sources of heat (e.g. hot surfaces), sparks and open flames.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Storage space and container requirements: A sprinkler system should only be used for cooling closed containers filled with the product.
Hints on storage assembly: Do not store together with: Oxidising agent, strong
Storage specifications: Store at a temperature of +10° C to +30° C and dark.
TRGS 510: 10 - Combustible liquids, unless storage class 3

Exposure controls / personal protection
Control parameters: The product does not contain any relevant quantities of materials with critical values that have to be monitored at the workplace.
Exposure controls:
Respiratory protection: Respiratory protection not required
Hand protection: Hand protection is not required
Eye protection: Wear protective eye glasses for protection against liquid splashes.
Skin and body protection: Wear suitable protective clothing.
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity: In very fine dispersion in contact with air possible danger of self ignition.
Thermal decomposition: Decompostion takes place from temperatures above: >250°C.
Chemical stability: The product is stable under storage at normal ambient temperatures.
Hazardous reactions: No known hazardous reactions.
Conditions to avoid: Keep away from heat sources, sparks and open flames.
Materials to avoid: Oxidising agent, strong Alkali (lye), concentrated Strong acid
Hazardous decomposition products: Acrolein, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide
Disposal considerations
Disposal considerations: Do not dispose of with household waste. Do not allow to enter drains. Dispose of waste according to applicable legislation.
Uncleaned empty packaging: Handle contaminated packages in the same way as the substance itself.
Suitable cleaning agents: Water and soap. Retain contaminated washing water and dispose it.
