Persistence
The substance bromacil is not readily biodegradable. Nevertheless, based on this information it cannot concluded that the substance is persistent. More information regarding studies for the determination of the half-life times are necessary for a clear conclusion.
Bioaccumulation
An experimental study for the partition coefficient of bromacil has been implemented where a Log Kow value of 1.71 could be determined. This result led to the fact that Bromacil is not B and not vB.
Toxicity
Bromacil is not T based on an experimental study where a NOEC value of 0.0324 mg/L was determined.
To summarize, as not all criteria are fulfil bromacil is not a PBT-substance according to the regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH regulation).
