Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Not measured as all fish were dead

Not measured as all fish were dead

The irrelevance of the DOC measurements is supported by the fact that the measurements at t=0 are higher than the nominal DOC values as well as by the fact that DOC values increase during the test (which is easily understandable as biological activity probably causes this increase).

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Remarks:
there were no mortalities in the control, the dissolved oxygen concentrations were >60%, the test conditions were stable and the concentration of the substance has been satisfactorily maintained
Conclusions:
In a 96h acute toxicity test in fish with Dehyton W (Amphoacetates C12), an LC50 of 1.6 mg/L (expressed as solid content) was determined. This result is read across to Amphoacetates C8-C10.
Executive summary:

An acute toxicity test with Dehyton W (Amphoacetates C12) was conducted with Brachydanio rerio similar to OECD 203. The test type was semi-static and for 3 test solutions there was analytical monitoring during the 1st and 3rd 24h-exposure period. The report lacks important study design details, especially about the used fish (length and weight). Also no accurate monitoring of the test concentrations. All the validity criteria can be verified and are fulfilled. The 96h-LC50 of the substance was determined to be 1.6 mg/L (expressed as solid content). This result is read across to Amphoacetates C8 -C10.

Description of key information
