Conclusion on classification

Amines, N-C8 -18-alkyltrimethylenedi-, reaction products with sodium chloroacetate, sodium salts has a high water solubility of 630 g/L and a low measured octanol water partition coefficient indicating a low lipophilicity and related low potential for bioaccumulation.

Amines, N-C8 -18-alkyltrimethylenedi-, reaction products with sodium chloroacetate, sodium salts was found to be readily biodegradable.

There are acute aquatic ecotoxicity test result available for fish, daphnia and algae with a lowest EC/LC50 of 0.34 mg/L.

Based on the available ecotoxicity data,

Amines, N-C8 -18-alkyltrimethylenedi-, reaction products with sodium chloroacetate, sodium salts should be classified as

Acute 1, M-factor: 1 (0.1<EC50 ≤1)

Chronic classification of Amines, N-C8 -18-alkyltrimethylenedi-, reaction products with sodium chloroacetate, sodium salts based on the acute data is not possible because Amines, N-C8 -18-alkyltrimethylenedi-, reaction products with sodium chloroacetate, sodium salts is readily biodegradable. The available algae ErC10 of 0.268 mg a.i./L is therefore used for the chronic classification and derivation of the long term M-factor because of the ready biodegradability and low bioaccumulation potential of the test substance.

Chronic 3, M-factor: -(0.1 < EC10/NOEC≤ 1)
