Description of key information

The 28-day NOEC for Lumbriculus variegatus was 81 mg/kg sediment dw (for LAS-Na).

No studies on the toxicity of LAS-Ammonium to sediment organisms were available.

For LAS-Na three studies on toxicity to sediment organisms were available. No studies on sediment toxicity of IPA were available. PNECs-sediment for IPA would have to be derived on the basis of equilibrium partitioning, and were as such considered to be less acurate than a PNECs-sediment derived from toxicity data as was done for LAS-Na.
