Substances are considered as PBT or vPvB substances when they fulfil the criteria for all three (or two) inherent properties P, B and T or vP and vB, respectively.
Ethylcyclohexane is not B since the BCF is ≤ 2000 L/kg. In addition the very volatile substance is not P since a rapid degradadtion in the atmosphere can be assumed.
The T-properties are not fullfilled since the study in algae shows a NOEC ≥ 0.01 mg/l.
The data show that the properties of ethylcyclohexane do not meet the specific criteria detailed in Annex XIII. Ethylcyclohexane is not considered a PBT/vPvB substance.
