- Executive summary:
The study is conducted according to guideline Part 18: Natural Enemy Amphibian Acute Toxicity Test of Guidance of Environmental Safety Assessment for Chemical Pesticide (draft for approval) of Ministry of Agricultural of China. The study was conducted to determine 48 hour acute toxicity of test substance in frog (Xenopus laevis). Treatment consists of 100 a.i. mg/L of test substance to test organism. Black control and solvent control are also present. Observations for mortality is done in all groups at 3, 24 and 48 h interval. The tadpole is recorded dead when there is no visible movement after its tail being touched by glass rod.
The results showed that there is no toxicity symptoms and mortality in both test and control group. These results conclude that LC50 value of test substance in test organism is >100 a.i.mg/L based on test solution concentration and mortality.
