The test solutions was prepared by adding the required amount of test substance to the test medium and shaking the mixture for 24 hours. The acute toxicity of Dizinc pyrophosphate to aquatic invertebrates was determined in a study following OECD guideline 202. Daphnids were exposed for 48 hours to nominal test substance concentrations of 5.6, 10, 18, 32, 56 and 100 mg/L. The test solutions were prepared separately by adding the required amount of test item to the test medium and subsequent shaking of the mixture for 24 hours. The water soluble fraction was separated by filtering (membrane filtration). Based on the mobility an EC(L)50 (48 h) of 26 mg/L was determined.
