Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
07-11 September 2015
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
study well documented, meets generally accepted scientific principles, acceptable for assessment
Qualifier:
no guideline followed
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Solutions of the test item in water are agglutinated. So it was not possible to prepare a satured and filterable solution. The test item and water were mixed in different ratios to cover the range of complete miscibility. The mixtures were agitated on a roller mixer or on a shaking machine at T = 23 °C overnight and after that conditioned at 20 °C ± 0.5 °C overnight.
The solubility range is between the lowest concentration with undissolved test item and the highest observed concentration with completely dissolved test item.
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
other: The method is described in "Principles of method if other than guideline".
Key result
Water solubility:
> 200 - < 300 g/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Incubation duration:
ca. 1 d
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
>= 3.5 - <= 3.8
Conclusions:
Based on visual inspection the solubility of the substance in water is between the lowest observed concentration with completely dissolved test item (200 g/L) and the highest concentration with undissolved test item (300 g/L).

Description of key information

The solubility of the substance in water is between the lowest observed concentration with completely dissolved test item (200 g/L) and the highest concentration with undissolved test item (300 g/L). For the chemical safety assessment, the lower limit is used.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
200 g/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C
