Hydrolysis

On the basis of the experimental studies of the read across chemical and applying the weight of evidence approach, the half-life of test chemical can be expected to be > 1 year at 25°C. Thus, test chemical was considered to be stable in water.

Data available of the read across chemicals has been reviewed to determine the hydrolysis half-life value of the test chemical. The studies are as mentioned below:

The half-life of the test chemical was determined at different pH range. The study was performed following the OECD Guideline 111 (Hydrolysis as a Function of pH) and other test guideline Directive 84/449/EEC, C.10 "Abiotic degradation: hydrolysis as a function of pH" guideline. The determination of test chemical in the samples was performed by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) using an external standard. For the confirmation of sterility, the buffered aqueous solutions were heated at 121 °C for 15 minutes before use. Exclusion of photolytic effects was accomplished using the brown glass reaction flasks. No degradation of the test chemical was observed at 50⁰C after 5 days. Thus, the half-life of test chemical was determined to be > 1 yr at 25°C at pH 4 to 9 and was reported to be stable.

 

For the test chemical, the half-life of the test chemical was determined. On the basis of chemical structure of test chemical, it do not undergoe hydrolysis under environmental temperature and pH. Thus, the test chemical was reported to be stable.
