Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Daphnia

In the acute immobilization test with Daphnia magna(STRAUS), the effects of the limit concentration of 100 mg/L of the test item were determined at the test facility according to OECD 202 (2004).

In the limit concentration 100 mg/L of the test item , no effects on Daphnia magna were observed.

Lemna

The effects of the test item on the growth of the monocotyledonous aquatic plant species Lemna gibba were determined according to the principles of OECD 221.

Lemna gibba was exposed to the test item for 7 days under semi-static conditions. 5 nominal test item concentration levels in a geometrical series with a dilution factor of 2:20.0 - 40.0 - 80.0 - 160 - 320 mg/L were used..

The measured concentrations of the test item at the start and the end of the exposure in the dose-response test were in the range of 96 to 103% and 73 to 102% of the nominal values, respectively. All effect values are given based on the nominal test item concentrations

EC50 was above 320 mg/l

Fish

Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008/ Method C.1 (2008).

An acute toxicity test with the threshold concentration of 100 mg/L was conducted under semi-static conditions with daily renewal of the test media. Duration of the test was 96 hours. Seven test organisms were exposed to the threshold concentration and the control.

The measured concentrations in freshly prepared media were in the range of 119 to 120% of the nominal value. In corresponding aged test media, the measured concentrations were in the range of 106 to 89% of the nominal value. Therefore, all effect values are based on the nominal concentration of the test item.

All effect levels are given based on the nominal threshold concentration of the test item . The threshold concentration of the test item found to have no effect on the vitality of zebrafish.

In conclusion, the LC0 corresponds to the nominal concentration of ≥ 100 mg test item/L.

Microorganisms

A Respiration Inhibition Test with activated sludge according to OECD Guideline No. 209 (2010) was carried out with the test item . The test item caused no inhibiting effects on activated sludge of a municipal sewage treatment plant at the limit test item concentration of 1000 mg/L.

The NOEC of the test item is ≥ 1000 mg/L
