Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
Category 2 (irritant) based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
4-Aminobenzenesulfonic acid (CAS No: 121573) was observed to be slightly irritating on rabbits skin.
Executive summary:

A skin irritation test was carried out in rabbits to determine the skin irritation potency of test chemical 4-Aminobenzenesulfonic acid (CAS No: 121573)

500mg of test sample was applied on rabbits skin and the rabbits were observed for signs of irritation till 24 hours.

Since the rabbits produced slight irritation reactions within 24 hours, 4-Aminobenzenesulfonic acid (CAS No: 121573) was considered as irritating on rabbit skin.
