First-aid measures

First aid:Eye
Get medical attention immediately. Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.

First aid:Ingestion
Get medical attention immediately.Do not induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Rinse mouth with water.

First aid:Inhalation
Remove to fresh air. Treat symptomatically. Get medical attention immediately.

First aid:Skin
Get medical attention immediately. Wash off immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Use a mild soap if necessary. Wash clothing before reuse.Thoroughly clean shoes before reuse.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing Media
Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.
Carbon dioxide and dry powder for small fires. For large fires water spray.

Hazards during Fire-fighting
Highly flammable liquid.
Exposure to decomposition products may be a hazard to health.
Beware of vapours accumulating to form explosive concentrations. Vapours can accumulate in low areas.
Keep away from heat and sources of ignition.. Flash back possible over considerable distance.
Pressurized container: May burst if heated.
Water run off and vapour cloud maybe corrosive.

Further advice
Use personal protective equipment.
Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains.
Use water spray to cool unopened containers.
GHS yes - In the event of fire and/or explosion do not breathe fumes.

Accidental release measures

Personal Precautions
Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak. Ensure adequate ventilation. Use personal protective clothing and appropriate certified respirators. Prevent inhalation, ingestion and contact with skin and eyes.
Remove all sources of ignition
Ensure clean-up is conducted by trained personnel only.

Environmental Precautions
Do not allow contact with soil, surface or ground water.

Methods and Material for Containment and Cleaning Up
Eliminate all ignition sources if safe to do so.
Stop leak if safe to do so. Contain spillage, and then collect up with non-combustible absorbent material, (e.g. sand, earth, diatomaceous earth, vermiculite) Flush away traces with water. For large spills, dike spilled material or otherwise contain material to ensure runoff does not reach a waterway.

Handling and storage

Ensure adequate ventilation. When workers are facing concentrations above the exposure limit they must use appropriate certified respirators.
Remove all sources of ignition.
May accumulate static discharge, ground / bond containers and equipment.
Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak.
Prevent inhalation, ingestion and contact with skin and eyes.
Was with soap and water after handling.
Launder conatimnated clothing before reuse and discard contaminated leather clothing.

Storage Requirements
Keep out of reach of children. Keep container tightly closed. Store in suitable labeled container
Keep in a cool, well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight.
Keep away from oxidizing agents. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition.
Do not store near acids.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Engineering measures
Local exhaust ventilation system.
.
Respiratory protection:
Wear APPROVED respirator.

Hand protection:
Wear impervious gloves: Nitrile rubber or Butyl rubber impervious gloves. Gloves should be discarded and replaced if there is any indication of degradation or chemical breakthrough.

Eye protection:
Safety goggles with Face-shield

Body protection:
Personal protective equipment comprising: suitable protective gloves, safety goggles and
protective clothing
General safety and hygiene measures
Provide suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body in case of contact or splash hazard.
Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use. Wash face, hands, and any
exposed skin thoroughly after handling.

Stability and reactivity

Highly flamable liquid avoid heat and other sources of ignition

Keep away from acids, oxidising agents, nitrites, copper, copper alloys or cellulose nitrate

Thermal decomposition may inlcude oxides of carbon and nitrogen. Nitrogen oxides can react with wtaer to produce nitric acid. Combustion may produce toxic products including carbon monoxide, cyanides and nitriles.

Disposal considerations

The product should not be allowed to enter drains, water courses or the soil.
Dispose of wastes in an approved waste disposal facility. Where possible recycling is preferred to disposal or incineration. If recycling is not practicable, dispose of in compliance with local regulations.

Waste disposal of packages Not cleaned
Dispose of as unused product. Do not re-use empty containers. Empty containers should be taken to an approved waste handling site for recycling or disposal.
