The installation of 2.5% (w/v) solution of resorcinol into the eyes (rinsing 10 s after application) produced only mild conjunctival inflammation which was disappeared within 24 h post-application.

 

Since the ocular lesions were not persisted, the chemical Resorcinol (CAS No: 108-46-3) was considered to be not irritating to eyes of three New Zealand White rabbits.
