The freezing point of Bis(2-chloroethyl) ether was determined to be -51.7°C. Due to a lack of methodological details, the reliability of this data cannot be assessed (reliability 4).

As the data originate from a recognised handbook it has been assigned a reliability score of 2. A similar value is included in the Handbook of Environmental Data on Organic Chemicals (Verschueren, 1983), where it is stated that the freezing point of Bis(2-chloroethyl) ether is -50°C (reliability 2). Finally, in an experimental study by Fife & Reid (Ind. Eng. Chem., 1930, 22(5):513-5), an experimental value of -51.7°C is reported. However, the methodology used to measure the freezing point of the substance is not described and this data has been assigned a reliability score of 4.
