Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The long-term aquatic toxicity of Boron in invertebrate was evaluated in a earl-life stage toxicity test performed equivalent to EPA US EPA 2000 Methods for assessing the toxicity and bioaccumulation of sediment-associated contaminants with freshwater invertebrates, where crustacean Hyalella azteca were exposed to nominal Boron concentrations of 0, 3.13, 6.25, 12.5, 25 and 50 mg/L for 42 days under semi-static conditions. Based on reproduction rate at the end of the treatment period, a NOEC of 6.6 mg Boron/L and a LOEC of 13 mg Boron/L was found which corresponds to a NOEC of 129.4 mg/L and a LOEC of 254.9 mg/L for Sodium triacetoxyborohydride, respectively.
