Administrative data
First-aid measures
Move out of dangerous area.
Take off all contaminated clothing immediately.
If feeling unwell seek medical advice.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, foam, CO2, dry powder.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire.
2. Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
In case of fire cool endangered containers with water.
In the case of fire, the following hazardous smoke fumes may be produced: carbon monoxide, carbon
dioxide.
further toxic gases/vapours
3. Advice for firefighters
Water used to extinguish fire should not enter drainage systems, soil or stretches of water.
Ensure there are sufficient retaining facilities for water used to extinguish fire.
Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local
regulations.
In the case of respirable dust and/or fumes, use self-contained breathing apparatus,
full protective suit
Accidental release measures
Wear personal protective equipment;
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
Do not inhale vapours / aerosols.
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Ensure suitable suction/aeration at the work place and with operational machinery.
2. Environmental precautions
Do not allow entrance in sewage water, drainage systems, stretches of water, soil.
Issue an immediate alarm report to the company environmental protection department if the product
unintentionally leaves the production area.
3. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Take up mechanically or with an absorbent material.
Fill into marked, sealable containers.
To be disposed of in compliance with existing regulations.
Clean contaminated surface thoroughly.
Assure sufficient ventilation.
Handling and storage
Wear personal protective equipment.
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
Do not inhale vapours / aerosols.
Ensure suitable suction/aeration at the work place and with operational machinery.
Do not allow containers and vessels to stand open
Open the containers with caution.
2. Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Advice on protection against fire and explosion
Normal measures for preventive fire protection.
Storage
Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place.
Further information
Store under lock and key or in a way that only skilled persons have access to it.

Further information
ACGIH (American Conference of Governmental Industry Hygienists)
Personal protective equipment:
Respiratory protection
In case of dusts/vapours/aerosols being formed or if the limit values like TLV are exceeded:
use respiratory equipment with suitable filter (filter type ABEK) or wear a self contained respiratory
apparatus
Hand protection
Chemical-resistant protective gloves (EN 374)
In case of contact through splashing:
Glove material nitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) gloves
Selection of protective gloves to meet the requirements of specific workplaces.
Suitability for specific workplaces should be clarified with protective glove manufacturers.
Be aware that in daily use the durability of a chemical resistant protective glove can be notably shorter
than the break through time measured according to EN 374, due to the numerous outside influences (e.g.
temperature).
The information is based on our own tests, references from the literature and information from glove
manufacturers, or derived by analogy with similar materials.
Eye protection
close-fitting protective goggles (e.g. closed goggles) or face protection
Skin and body protection
Select materials and equipment for physical protection depending on the concentration and volume of
hazardous substances and the workplace involved.
Hygiene measures
Remove immediately all contaminated clothing.
Wash contaminated clothing before re-use.
Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing.
Do not inhale vapours / aerosols.
When using do not eat, drink or smoke.
Wash face and/or hands before break and end of work.
Keep working clothes separately.
Protective measures
Wear suitable protective clothing.
Environmental exposure controls
Emissions from venting and processing equipment should be checked in order to ensure that the
requirements of the Environmental Protection Law are satisfied.
In some cases, exhaust air scrubbers, filters or technical changes to the processing plant will be required
in order to decrease emissions to acceptable values.
Stability and reactivity
no data available.
Chemical stability
no data available (stable to temperatures above 360°C (boiling point))
Possibility of hazardous reactions:
Product as an ester should be stable
Conditions to avoid
Keep away from heat and sources of ignition.
Incompatible materials:
not known
Hazardous decomposition products:
carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide
Other hazardous decomposition products may be formed.
Other dangerous properties can not be excluded.
Disposal considerations
Product must be brought to an adequate waste treatment facility, in conformity with applicable waste disposal
regulations.
No waste key number as per the European Waste Types List can be assigned to this product, since such
classification is based on the (as yet undetermined) use to which the product is put by the consumer.
The waste key number must be determined as per the European Waste Types List (decision on EU Waste
Types List 2000/532/EC) in cooperation with the disposal firm / producing firm / official authority.
