Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The ready biodegradability was evaluated in a CO2-evolution test according to OECD 301 B (modified storm test) and was assessed as "valid without
restrictions". The test item suspended in mineral medium was inoculated with activated sludge and maintained under aerobic conditions in diffuse light for 28 days. Degradation was followed by determination of the carbon dioxide produced and absorbed to sodium hydroxide via IC (inorganic carbon) measurement.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

The biodegradation rate showed a high variability and varied between -11.4 and 20.9% (mean = 7.8%) within 28 days (after acidification). The degradation rate did not pass the criterion for ready biodegradability.
