Results:
At 23°C / 48% RH, the minimum ignition energy (MIE) of BI 1356 piperidine was found to be 5 mJ (Es = 5 mJ).

Conclusions:
BI 1356 piperidine dusts have a low MIE value and must therefore be classified as highly sensitive to ignition.

Brush discharges (e.g., from electrostatically charged polythene bags) are not capable of causing a BI 1356 piperidine dust explosion
