Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
Appearance
The test item was observed to be a pale amber liquid during performance of GLP guideline studies.
pH
The pH of a 1% aqueous dispersion of the test item was determined to be 10.0 at 25 °C (OECD 122).
Melting/freezing point
The freezing temperature of the test item was determined to be less than -20 °C (< 253 K) (OECD 102 and EU Method A.1).
Boiling point
The boiling temperature of the test item has been determined to be from approximately 243 °C (516 K) at 101 kPa (OECD 103 and EU Method A.2).
Relative density
The density of the test item has been determined to be 972 kg/m3 at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C with a relative density of 0.972 (OECD 109 and EU Method A.3).
Granulometry
In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, Section 7.14, granulometry does not need to be conducted if the substance is marketed or used in a non-solid or granular form. The test item is a liquid and, as a result, determination of particle size distribution is not required.
Vapour pressure
Vapour pressure of the test item was determined to be 3.11 Pa at 25 °C (298 K) and 14.9 Pa at 100 °C (373 K) (OECD 104 and EU Method A.4).
Partition coefficient
The partition coefficient of the test item was determined to be 1.02 x 10E07 with a log10 Pow of 7.01 (OECD 117 and EU Method A.8).
Water solubility
The water solubility of the test item was determined to be 5.59 x 10E-05 g/L of solution at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C (OECD 105 and EU Method A.6).
Surface tension
Surface tension was not determined according to a procedure designed to be compatible with Method A.5 Surface Tension of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 115 of the OECD Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995 since the water solubility was determined to be less than 1 mg/L.
Flash point
The flash point of the test item was determined to be 102 ± 2 °C (EU Method A.9).
Autoflammability / self-ignition temperature
The test material was determined to have an auto-ignition temperature of 338 ± 5 °C (EU Method A.15).
Flammability
According to ECHA Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance (Version 3.0; August 2014), the primary value for ease of ignition in liquids is the flash point. The flash point of the test item was determined to be 102 ± 2 °C and this value was used for purposes of CLP classification (non-flammable). Since the test material does not ignite in contact with air or water, and the tested sample did not contain impurities with a lower boiling point than the main component, no further investigation of flammability is required.
Explosive properties
No structural alerts were found within the chemical structure of the test item and the result for explosive properties has been predicted negative (EU Method A.14).
Oxidising properties
No structural alerts were found within the chemical structure of the test item and the result for oxidising properties has been predicted negative (EU Method A.21).
