Description of key information

The substance is stable since it shows neither self-reactive nor self-heating properties. Also it is not corrosive to metals in the sense of CLP Annex I. 

Additional information

The structural formula contains none of the functional groups quoted in Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods - Manual of Tests and Criteria (fifth revised edition, 2009, appendix 6, table A 6.1 and table A 6.2) which may indicate explosive or self-reactive properties. There are also no chemical groups in the molecule which would cause any corrosive interaction with metallic surfaces. The determination according to UN-RTDG Procedure N.4 (Bowes-Cameron-Cage-Test) is not necessary because the substance is a liquid at room temperature.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance does not need to be classified since it is stable and shows no corrosive properties.
