Description of key information
The test substance AlN (aluminium nitride) revealed no self-ignition at temperatures up to 400 ºC.

In a test carried out in accordance with method EU A.16 a certain volume of AlN (aluminium nitride) was placed in an oven at room temperature. The temperature/time curve relating to conditions in the centre of the sample was recorded while the temperature of the oven was increased to 400 ºC, at a rate of 0.5 ºC/min.
No self-ignition occurred, since the sample thermocouple showed no very sharp temperature rise above the oven temperature.
The test substance AlN (aluminium nitride) revealed no self-ignition at temperatures up to 400 ºC.
