Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In accordance to Section 9.5.1, column 2 of Annex X, long-term toxicity tests to sediment organisms do not need to be conducted as the results of the chemicl safety assessment do not indicate the need to investigate further the effects of the substance and/or relevant degradation products on sediment organisms.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

According to the rapid abiotically decomposition of KMPS triple salt is not expected to be distributed into the sediment.

In view of the irrelevant adsorption of KMPS triple salt to sediment it can be assumed that in such tests the exposure through sediment pore water does not differ significantly from that to KMPS triple salt in the overlaying water and that hazards resulting from uptake of sediment can be excluded.
